Song Ju-Ho

Moon Myung-Sang
Abstract
Spontaneous correction of iatrogenically induced coxa vara defomity in twenty growing rabbits were observed for 30 weeks. Varus defomity of 20 degrees was producedby subtrochan
-
teric osteotomy which was fixed with a prebent 4 -hole autocompression plate. Growth correction of coxa vara defomity was evident and it paralleled to that of capital plate-shaft angle. Most of the spontaneous correction occurred during first 10 weeks after the surgery.
Proximal femoral cefomity do corrects by growth as far as growth potential at the capital femoral physis remains aid the most of the correction occurs in the early phase after surgery.
